Deborah Maclaren is a serial entrepreneur, business owner and strong commercial leader who has been in business for 25 years. The majority of her career has been in senior commercial and board director roles within the media and publishing arena including Conde Nast, Future Publishing and Highbury House.
Since LoveReading was saved from the liquidators in 2017 she has been involved in the LoveReading portfolio, bringing together her media background, passion for books, her love of literacy, marketing knowledge and her commercial acumen. She has been MD since mid-2018 and if you've ever met her, you'll know she ADORES sharing book love.
Charlotte Walker is our very own Content Manager. She is a 25-year-old life long bookworm and Chionophile. She graduated with a first class degree in English Literature from the University of Chester (although you can't always tell from her spelling) and feels like the luckiest person in the world that her first "grown-up" job allows her to read, discuss and find out more about fantastic books all day long.
After 20 years in magazines and newspapers, Fiona saw the light and moved into the book world. An avid reader with tons of experience in media sales, she leads the sales operation at LoveReading ensuring that we work closely with publishers to deliver their marketing objectives.
Daryl Crowther is our Head of Digital Development who joined the team in late 2017 and has spearheaded the redevelopment of all three sites. He has over 16 years of website development experience having worked as an in-house developer for a series of small publishers before landing at LoveReading. After first giving all of the LoveReading websites a much needed overhaul, Daryl now works closely with Deborah developing new ideas as the websites continue to evolve.
